Requirements & Competencies
- Educational Qualification: Minimum 4 years Diploma in Pharmacy from Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) registered with PCB, OR 4 years Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) registered with Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh (PCB).
- Age Limit: At least 18 years old.
- Technical Competencies: Familiarity with common medical terms, investigations, procedures, surgeries, and medications; high level of listening skills with excellent typing skills; excellent record maintenance skills.
- Required Behavioral Competencies: Reliability, adaptability/flexibility in workplace, cooperative attitude, and strong mental capacity to work under pressure with patience.
Responsibilities & Context
- Job Context: Assist consultants in drafting prescriptions, consultation summaries, management plans, and proper data entry into the Hospital Information System (HIS), ensuring finalized records meet prescribed modules.
- Greet patients/customers courteously and professionally with proper etiquette.
- Correctly identify patients using UHID, Name, and Age during data entry in the HIS.
- Take data dictations directly from consultants and input information accurately into the HIS.
- Collect all reports and management plans from concerned doctors for verification, ensuring proper signatures are obtained.
- Input finalized reporting findings into the HIS and handover hard copies to designated personnel for further processing.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding prescribed medications, investigations, procedures, surgeries, and admissions.
- Maintain updated knowledge of hospital facilities and tariffs to politely guide patients toward availing EHC diagnostic and medication services.
- Provide cost estimation, counseling, and follow-up for admission/surgery cases to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient reports, health records, and personal medical data.
- Ensure availability of necessary logistics and tools at the designated workstation and perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or consultants.
